Oxford Centre for International Studies
The Centre for International Studies (CIS) has been integrated into the Network of International Relations, which continues to support research and collaboration on similar themes at Oxford.
Over its 30-year history CIS supported research in International Relations at Oxford and built a reputation for research excellence and as a facilitator of intellectual exchange.
CIS was a hub for expert knowledge, with projects supported by internal and external funding. Each year it organised a number of lectures, seminars, and conferences on topics germane to the study of world politics. It also worked closely with governmental bodies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and the private sector to disseminate the practical findings of its research.
You can explore the archive of CIS news, publications and events on this website.

Alongside its events and research, CIS collaborated with groups in and outside of Oxford, including the European Studies Centre, the Global Economic Governance Programme, and the Department of International Development. It supported the development of graduate students through the support of graduate workshops, its patronage of the STAIR Review and other societies.
