Oxford comes fourth in THEs World University Rankings

The University of Oxford placed fourth in the world in THEs (Times Higher Education) World University Rankings 2011-2012.

The university ranked third in the world and first in the UK for social sciences. Additional tables rank Oxford first in the world for clinical, pre-clinical and health subjects; fourth in the world and second in the UK for life sciences; seventh in the world and second in the UK for engineering and technology; seventh in the world and second in the UK for arts and humanities; tenth in the world and second in the UK for physical sciences.

Oxfords overall rank improved by two places compared to 2010-2011.
