Marnie is a Departmental Lecturer in Politics in the Department of Politics and International Relations and Associate Member at Nuffield College. She teaches on the postgraduate Research Design in Comparative Political Science and Qualitative Methods in Political Science courses. 

Marnie is a PhD candidate in the Department of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and holds a BA (High Honours) in International Studies and MA in Political Science from the University of Saskatchewan. 

Research Interests

Marnie's research centers on the intersection of nationalism, political geography, and cartography within the former Soviet Union, particularly Ukraine. Her research interests also include qualitative methodologies, visual and digital methods, and research ethics.
