Ulrike Franke publishes new analysis on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Date

Ulrike Franke, a DPhil student in International Relations, has contributed a chapter to a report on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and targeted killing.

The report, Hitting the Target? How New Capabilities are Shaping International Intervention, was published this spring by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), an independent think tank focused on defence and security research.

Ulrikes chapter, The Five Most Common Media Misrepresentations of UAVs, explores media coverage of this relatively recent phenomenon, and seeks to expose some of the false impressions and ideas the media have created about UAVs.
