Sara Binzer Hobolt, has received a John Fell Fund Award for her project ‘Voting Behaviour in Multilevel Elections: experimental evidence’.


Dr Sara Hobolt is Principal Investigator and Dr Jill Wittrock is Co-Investigator of the project `Voting Behaviour in Multilevel Elections: experimental evidence’.

The aim of this research project is to examine voting behaviour in multilevel elections, which will be examined in the context of the 2009 European Parliament (EP) elections. With support from the John Fell OUP Fund, this project will 1) analyse patterns of voting behaviour in an laboratory experimental setting; 2) combine the results with cross-national survey data from an EU-funded project on electoral behaviour in EP elections; and 3) build on the results and experiences from this pilot experiment to inform a large-scale experimental study of vote choices in multilevel elections.
