Oxford leads the Guardian league table and comes top in Politics

Oxford takes first place in the Guardian`s University League Tables 2010, for the fifth year in a row; Oxford is listed first for Politics, the subject tables taking into account factors such as teaching quality, student satisfaction and career prospects.
Oxford`s traditional rival, Cambridge University, retains its second-place ranking, with St Andrews University moving up from fifth spot last year to third place in the 2010 tables.
In the subject tables for Politics, Oxford scored 100; St Andrew`s were in second place with a score of 99.6, Cambridge in third with 98.4, King`s College London in fourth with 93.8 and LSE fifth with 84.5.
Dr John Hood, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford, said: `I am very pleased we are once again top in the Guardian`s University Guide. To be recognised as the best university in this guide for five years in a row reflects the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff and students at Oxford.`
