New Fulbright Visiting Professor Alison Brysk delivers special seminar series on the future of human rights

Alison Brysk, Mellichamp Professor of Global Governance in the Department of Global Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, has been announced as this year’s Fulbright-Oxford-Pembroke Visiting Professor in Politics and International Relations.

Alison is an American political scientist who has authored seven books and edited ten books on international human rights and has been a scholar and lecturer in Argentina, Australia, Ecuador, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, South Africa, and Japan.

She has also held Fulbright Fellowships in India and Canada and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on human rights, international relations, civil society, and Latin American politics.

While at Oxford, Alison will organise a series of seminars at Pembroke College on ‘The Future of Human Rights’.
