Date

Congratulations to Muneera Al Khalifa, who has just been awarded ‘regional runner-up for the South East’ for her ‘letter home’ entry in the British Council’s International Student Awards competition.

The British Council launched the Awards to celebrate the achievements of students who come to the UK for a high quality education and to enjoy new experiences and challenges. Muneera’s letter will contribute to the Council’s work to inform people around the world about the wealth of opportunities in the UK.

The competition was a tremendous success and attracted more than 1,300 entries from students representing 121 nationalities. As ‘regional runner-up’ Muneera’s entry was one of only 24 letters to be awarded this special recognition. Muneera will receive a commemorative certificate and a prize of £100 in recognition of her achievement at an award ceremony in London on 21 April.

Muneera Al Khalifa is an MPhil Candidate in International Relations.
