Media and government appearances by China academic Professor Rana Mitter

On Thursday 12 March Professor Rana Mitter gave evidence as an expert witness at the invitation of the House of Lords Committee on China`s relations with the European Union. The Committee will produce a report that will suggest ways forward for our engagement with China in the years to come, and will be publicly available.
On Thursday 19 March, Rana will be a guest on the Radio 4 programme ‘In Our Time`, hosted by Melvyn Bragg. He will be one of three academic guests discussing the Boxer Uprising of 1900, and its impact on China`s development over the century.
Rana Mitter is Professor of the History and Politics of Modern China, Fellow, St Cross College.
