Laura Valentini awarded prize for the best PhD in Political Theory

Congratulations to Laura Valentini, who has just been awarded UK Political Studies Association`s Sir Ernest Barker Prize for Best Dissertation in Political Theory.


This award is for her thesis, Global Justice: Cosmopolitanism, Social Liberalism, and the Coercion View. She will receive the award at the PSA Annual Conference dinner in Edinburgh on Wednesday, 31 March 2010.

Laura is currently visiting Princeton University as University Center for Human Values Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Democracy and Human Values. Laura’s achievement has been noted on the Princeton University website.

Laura Valentini is a Junior Research Fellow in Politics, based at The Queens College. She is also a member of the Centre for the Study of Social Justice in the Department.
