Dr Nic Cheeseman writes on a new resource curse for East Africa

Nic Cheeseman has written an article for the Kenyan Daily Nation (8 August, re-published in our Politics In Spires blog) about the changes affecting East Africa, and whether it might be about to face the so-called 'resource curse'.

Nic writes, "Despite all the headlines, the north’s resource boom could prove to be a curse. Although the north will become increasingly significant to Kenya’s political and economic future, economic transformation is unlikely to radically improve livelihoods of the majority."
