DPIR is top of the Times Good University Guide 2013

According to the Times Good University Guide 2013, Oxford came top of the overall rankings in the study of politics. The top ten were ranked as follows: 1. Oxford, 2. Cambridge, 3. Sheffield, 4. LSE, 5. Warwick, 6. Bath, 7. Essex, 8. St Andrews, 9. Durham, 10. Exeter.

According to The Times, Politics has been enjoying a boom as a degree subject, applications growing by almost a quarter in the first two years of the decade. The trend was reversed in 2012, with the prospect of higher fees, although even after a decline of almost 9 per cent, there were still more than 30,000 applications. With six applications for every place, entry scores have been rising.
