I am a Departmental Lecturer in Comparative Political Economy at the University of Oxford in the Department of Politics and International Relations and an Associate Member of Nuffield College. I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of Mannheim. Prior to joining DPIR, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Hamburg, where I taught courses on the political economy of inequality and redistribution, political representation, and intros to comparative politics.

My research focuses on the formation of preferences and political representation. Central questions I am interested in are why some people support higher levels of redistribution than others, and the role of institutional factors and issues of fairness as determinants of redistributive preferences. I also work on issues related to female representation and the question of why women still have limited access to political power, despite their increasing representation in parliaments in recent years.

Methodologically, I combine quantitative observational analysis with experimental approaches.
