DPhil Politics
I am a DPhil candidate in political theory at St. Anne's College and a Graduate Teaching Assistant attached to Lincoln College.
My work concerns the boundary problem of democratic theory, which lies at the intersection of the philosophical foundations of democracy and of global justice. It seeks to answer the questions:
- Who has a right to the franchise?
- What are the democratically legitimate limits of territorial jurisdiction?
- How can legal rigidity be made democratically legitimate?
My wider research investigates the implications of time and uncertainty in non-consequentialist philosophy.
My thesis, The boundaries of democracy across time and space, is supervised by Professor Daniel Butt.
