Maria Golubev
Maria is a doctoral candidate in International Relations at the University of Oxford. Her current thesis explores the impact of international climate governance on Russian environmental and energy policy. Maria’s broader research interests include Russian foreign policy and militarisation as well as the global politics of climate and energy.
Throughout her academic career, Maria has worked as a consultant in the financial and risk sectors across locations including the United States, Russia, and Japan. She is a native Russian speaker and has travelled to over 80 countries.
Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from King’s College London, where she was granted the Sir Michael Howard Excellence Award for best performance among undergraduates, and a Master of Philosophy degree in International Relations from the University of Oxford.
