Emily is an MSc Candidate in Politics Research at the Department of Politics and International Relations. Studying environmental security, her research synthesizes quantitative analysis and political theory to champion novel climate solutions. Her research focusses on investment and governance preferences for earth modifying technologies, namely solar geoengineering. 

Prior to Oxford, Emily graduated from Georgetown University in 2023 where she majored in International Politics with a Certificate in Diplomatic Studies. She worked as a research assistant for three Georgetown professors and was the recipient of four fellowships. Upon graduating from the Walsh School of Foreign Service, she won the Edmund A. Walsh Medal for her outstanding achievement in the field of International Law. 

Following her undergraduate degree, Emily was a Gaither Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in the Sustainability, Climate, and Geopolitics program. Through her work she supported the research of senior scholars on climate disaster financing and international protest movements.
