Conor Walsh
Conor Walsh is an MPhil Political Theory student at the DPIR. Prior to studying at Oxford, Conor attended University College London where he graduated with first-class honours in BSc Philosophy, Politics and Economics with Social Data Science.
As an aspiring journalist and political theorist, Conor's research interests are broad but lie primarily in areas of civility, free speech and global justice. Conor is especially interested in the concept of obligation, including the obligations of governments to uphold free speech and civil discourse on social media. His recent article on problems of collective impact was published in the Cambridge Journal of Political Affairs.
In addition to his studies, Conor has extensive experience working as a Research Assistant at UCL's Center for US Politics (CUSP), where he assisted Dr Nadia Hilliard with her work on political fraternity.
