Christian Uta
M. Christian Uta is an MPhil in International Relations student at the University of Oxford. His research interests include humanitarian military interventions, UN peacekeeping operations, international relations theory, and international security.
Prior to studying at Oxford’s Department of Politics and International Relations, Christian received a BA in International Relations with First Class Honours from Royal Holloway, University of London. His quantitative undergraduate thesis analysed whether UN peacekeeping operations are more likely to be deployed to oil-producing states. As a research assistant at Royal Holloway’s Department of Politics and International Relations, he created a quantitative dataset for a UK Economic and Social Research Council project examining the International Monetary Fund’s technical assistance missions.
Outside of the classroom, Christian is Social Secretary of the Oxford University International Relations Society and Speakers Committee member at the Oxford Union.
