William Godwins Diary project wins BSECS award

The British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies has awarded its annual prize for Digital Resources to William Godwins Diary.

William Godwin’s Diary is a University of Oxford research project headed by Dr. Mark Philp. Funded by the Leverhulme Trust, the project aims to enhance the intelligibility and augment the resources of William Godwin’s diary which is the centrepiece of the Abinger Collection of the Bodleian Library. This long term project will be published in six volumes. It was launched in a conference on 23-2 July 2010 at the Department of Politics and International Relations of the University of Oxford.

The prize was announced at a special ceremony during the BSECS annual conference on January 4, 2012. The prize was accepted by Dr. David O’Shaughnessy.
