UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon delivers Cyril Foster Lecture [Full Video Available at Bottom of Page]

His Excellency Mr Ban Ki-moon, current Secretary-General of the United Nations, gave this years Cyril Foster Lecture on Human Protection and the 21st Century United Nations yesterday evening to an audience of around 700 at Oxfords Examination Schools. The event was organised by the Department of Politics and International Relations and introduced by Prof Andrew Hamilton, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford.

HE Mr Ban Ki-moon was the 4th Secretary-General of the UN to give a Cyril Foster lecture, the first three being HE Mr Prez de Cullar, HE Dr Boutros Boutros-Ghali, and HE Mr Kofi Annan. The Cyril Foster lecture was founded in 1960 for the promotion of international peace and the prevention of future wars.
