Ulrike Franke took part in an episode of BBC Radio 4's 'The Long View' (11 July) entitled 'Military Drones and the 'Robo-planes' of the 1940s'.
Ulrike was asked what the advantage of using drones over piloted aircrafts is, and she pointed out that drones can stay in the air much longer – sometimes even up to 48 hours – which gives the drone the opportunity to 'loiter' over the target for much longer, and thus (hopefully) ensure that its target is the correct one.
