Registration open for `The Politics of Nations and Nationalism in Lusophone Africa`

Date

The Oxford Research Network on Government in Africa OReNGA is holding a conference to take place on 6 and 7 December 2007.

The conference is organised by Eric Morier-Genoud and Gavin Williams.

This conference will analyse, complexify and renew the history and content of nationalism in Lusophone Africa. It will do so by analysing marginal political parties, looking at the culture of nationalism and engage in an investigation of its contemporary forms. The conference will gather younger and established scholars from Africa, Europe, the USA who will present, discuss and eventually publish innovative papers which will set a new agenda on the topics of the decade to come.
