Rana Mitter explores the world in new University series
The University invites everyone to join us for Oxford at Home, a new series of online tutorials.
Presented by Rana Mitter, Director of the Oxford China Centre and Professor of the History and Politics of Modern China, each tutorial will explore a new topic with a subject expert. Broadcast live on YouTube, each talk is free to attend and available afterwards to watch back at a later date.
- The first talk, ‘Garden Safari - the five groups of insects that dominate your garden’, took place on Friday 22 May.
- The second talk, ‘Rembrandt - the early years’, was broadcast on Friday 29 May.
- The third talk, 'Biomedically-engineered bubbles', was streamed on Friday 5 June.
- 'Friendship through the lens of art', the next talk, was published on Friday 12 June.
- 'Shakespeare & the plague' was broadcast on Friday 19 June.
- The next talk, 'Meet the Botanic Garden and Arboretum', was broadcast on Friday 26 June.
- 'International health in global governance after the First World War' was broadcast on Friday 3 July.

The next talk, 'What do countries with the best COVID-19 responses have in common? Women leaders.', will be streamed on Friday 10 July.
