Professors Roxana Gutirrez Romero, Dirk Haubrich and Iain McLean awarded Best 2010 Article from the IIAS

Congratulations to Roxana Gutirrez Romero, Dirk Haubrich and Iain McLean, who have been awared the Best Article of 2010 award from the International Institute of Administratice Sciences (IIAS) for their article entitled To what extent does deprivation affect the performance of English local authorities?

The IIAS Director General, Rolet Loretan, praised the article, saying that it concerned an issue of ongoing political relevance, and utlilized sophisticated quantative techniques to establish relationships which appear to be of widespread significance. He went on to say that it was written in a sober and balanced style that was both concise and accessible. The analysis was both intricate and convincing.
