Professor Walter Mattli & Professor Ngaire Woods awarded by Levine Prize Committee

Date

The Politics of Global Regulation (Princeton University Press, 2009), an edited volume by Walter Mattli and Ngaire Woods, has been awarded a special mention by the 2010 Levine Prize Committee.

The Levine Prize Committee, which annually awards a prize to a book judged to have made a significant contribution to the field of public policy and administration, praised The Politics of Global Regulation for its critical reflection upon the increasing voice among countries to tighten up regulatory control at the national and global levels. The Committee described it as a timely caution that regulatory capture or hijacking could take place in this newfound enthusiasm for regulation.

Walter Mattli is Professor of International Political Economy at St. Johns College.
