Professor Stephen Fisher discusses why the political polls got it wrong (again)

Stephen Fisher has appeared on the Howard Bentham show on BBC Radio Oxford (10 November) to talk about the major US election polls that got the results wrong.

Stephen talks about the similarities with polling errors in both the UK General Election of 2015 and the British referendum on the EU in June.  He talks about the difficulties in accurately predicting voting intention, and suggests that it is a mistake to suggest such polls can ever be infallibly accurate.
