Professor Simon Caney appointed to Nuffield Council of Bioethics Working Party

Congratulations to Professor Simon Caney, who was recently appointed by the Nuffield Council of Bioethics to be a member of a Working Party it has created to discuss the social and ethical issues raised by new biofuels.

Simon was also invited to speak at the Danish Institute for Human Rights at a conference entitled `Human Rights and Climate Change` held on 29-30 October. Further details.

Simon`s work on climate change also appears on the Guardian website in the form of a podcast. The theme is climate change and paying for the costs of mitigation and adaptation.
