Professor Robert Picard comments on Amazon founders proposed purchase of the Washington Post
Robert Picard was quoted in an article on the Deutsche Welle website (6 August) about the proposed purchase of The Washington Post by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos for $250 million.
Robert commented that, at least in the short term, the arrival of new industry owners like Mr Bezos could be seen as a positive development for the print media industry, as they have the resources to operate a paper and will bring a fresh perspective.
