Professor Rana Mitter at the opening of the new China Centre

Rana Mitter, director of the new Dickson Poon University of Oxford China Centre, was interviewed at its opening on 8 September. Speaking next toChinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming, Rana said, We are very happy that the Duke is opening the building, because it symbolizes how important this building is, both in terms of the University of Oxford and also for the links of UK and China.

The building was opened by the Duke of Cambridge, and featured extensive media coverage due to the Duchess of Cambridges absence. You can read more about the event here:
