Professor Rana Mitter discusses the latest in the Bo Xilai trial

Rana Mitter was interviewed (9 August) on Huffpost Live, the online news channel from The Huffington Post, about the latest developments in the trial of disgraced Chinese politician Bo Xilai.

He began by saying, One of the ways to really get to the idea of who this guy was is to think JFK in about 1958... Bo Xilai, until about a year ago, was the nearest thing that Chinese politics had to a rock star. He managed to create this cult of personality around himself which was almost unprecedented.
