Rana Mitter appeared on Melvyn Bragg's 'In Our Time' programme (8 May), with Barak Kushner and Tehyun Ma, discussing the Sino-Japanese War, 1937-1945... the 'last forgotten chapter' of World War II.

Rana's book on the subject - China's War with Japan, 1937-1945: The Struggle For Survival (Penguin) - was named a book of the year in six newspapers including The Economist and the Financial Times, and was described by former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger as "brilliant".
