Professor Jan Zielonka writes on Europes three tectonic shocks

Jan Zielonka has written an article for Le Monde diplomatique (24 March) entitled 'Europe’s three tectonic shocks'.

In it he writes: "Europe is a mess and the origins of it can be traced some twenty five years ago. Three events took place independently, but more or less in the same period; all three generated fundamentally new relationships between power and space on the old continent. Since then we observe a cascading unbounding of Europe in the spheres of geopolitics, economics and communication."
