Professor Iain McLean much quoted as Scottish independence referendum approaches

An article published in The Telegraph (3 September) and entitled Every Scot 480 worse off under independence focusses primarily on comments made by Iain McLean about the Scottish National Partys independence campaign.


The article begins by saying, Prof Iain McLean of Oxford University attacks SNP claims separation would magically make Scotland wealthier and warns it threatens spending on the Scottish NHS.

Since then the Iains comments have been further debated in two articles for The Times, as well as the Daily Express (Scotland) and the Daily Telegraph (Scotland).
