Professor Iain McLean on the Church of England and Gay Rights
Iain McLean published a letter in the Guardian (21 May, 2012) on the recent declaration by the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu, that he would be the first to accept that the churches have been complicit in discrimination against gay people.
Iain details two votes in the House of Lords in the last few years where the Church of England rallied against gay rights legislation and calls on the Church to repent of those two votes.
