Professor Hew Strachan Awarded Funding for Anglo-French Workshop

Professor Hew Strachan was awarded funding from the Ministry of Defence and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for the Anglo-French Workshop, which was held on 22 and 23 March at All Souls College.
The workshop was convened to facilitate and encourage an exchange of views among French and British government officials and academics on current problems in Afghanistan and how the West can assist the improvement of the political, military and economic situations in the country. It was the third in a sequence of Anglo-French workshops organised by the Oxford Leverhulme Programme on the Changing Character of War.

Professor Hew Strachan is Director of the Oxford Leverhulme Programme on the Changing Character of War, Chichele Professor of the History of War at the University of Oxford, Fellow of All Souls College.
