Professor Giovanni Capoccia wins APSA Mary Parker Follett Award for Best Article in Politics and History

Congratulations to Giovanni Capoccia, who has received the Mary Parker Follett Award for Best Article in Politics and History, given by the Politics and History section of the American Political Science Association.


The title of the article is The Historical Turn in European Democratization: A New Research Agenda for Europe and Beyond, co-authored with Daniel Ziblatt (Harvard) and published in Comparative Political Studies in August 2010. The article is the introduction to a double special issue of the journal entitled The Historical Turn in European Democratization, and develops a new approach to the historical study of processes of democratization.

The award ceremony will take place at the upcoming APSA Annual Convention in Seattle in September 2011.
