Patrick Barron wins Sociology of Development book of the year award

Congratulations to Patrick Barron, who has been awarded the Sociology of Development book of the year award by the American Sociology Association for his co-authored publication 'Contesting Development: Participatory Projects and Local Conflict Dynamics in Indonesia'.


The book analyses a highly successful participatory development programme in Indonesia, exploring its distinctive origins and design principles and its impacts on local conflict dynamics and social institutions. The award will be given at the next ASA annual conference.
