Oxford named first in the UK in Complete University Guide’s League Table for Politics
The Department has been crowned the best in the UK for Politics in the Complete University Guide League Table by Subject 2023.
Oxford fought off competition from the University of Cambridge and UCL in second and third place respectively to secure the top spot for the eighth year running.
The Department was judged on various areas including entry standards, research quality and graduate prospects.
Nick Owen, Joint Head of Department, said: “I'm delighted to see that Oxford has come top for Politics in the Complete University Guide.
“We have lots of exciting courses, and brilliant teachers to guide you. Politics is a great subject to study, and Oxford is a great place to study it."
The independent editorial team behind the Complete University Guide has compiled university league tables for more than 25 years. Since 2007, these have been freely available online.
