Oxford leads the Guardian league table and comes top in Politics

Oxford takes first place in the Guardian`s University Subject Tables 2011, for the sixth year in a row; Oxford is listed first for Politics, the tables taking into account factors such as teaching quality, student satisfaction and career prospects.


Oxford`s traditional rival, Cambridge University, retains its second-place ranking, with Warwick moving up from fourth spot last year to third place in the 2011 tables. In the subject tables, Oxford scored 100; Cambridge were in second place with a score of 84.3, King’s College London in third with 81.1, St Andrews in fourth with 74.3 and Queen Mary fifth with 71.3.

Oxford University recently topped The Independent’s The Complete University Guide, with Politics top in the subject tables, with a score of 100.
