Oxford academics contribute to new book on the Cold War

A massive, illustrated three volumes entitled `The Cambridge History of the Cold War` has just been published, (Volume I: Origins; Volume II: Crises and Détente; Volume III: Endings).


The volumes are edited by Professor Melvyn Leffler and Professor O. Arne Westad, LSE. Oxford contributors include Archie Brown, ‘The Gorbachev revolution and the end of the Cold War’; Anne Deighton, ‘Britain and the Cold War, 1945-1955’; Rosemary Foot, ‘The Cold War and human rights’; Alex Pravda, ‘The collapse of the Soviet Union, 1990-1991’; David Priestland, ‘Cold War mobilisation and domestic politics: the Soviet Union’; and Adam Roberts, ‘An “incredibly swift transition”: reflections on the end of the Cold War’.
