The next deadline for applications is noon on Friday of Week 6, Trinity Term (30 May 2008). Further details about the schemes and how to apply can be found in the Research section of the OReNGA website.
Under the research support scheme, which supports members of Oxford University who are conducting research on Africa and who are not academic staff (ie students, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, Junior Research Fellows), individuals can apply for up to £500 per academic year for expenses such as conference attendance to present a paper or for travel for research purposes etc.
Under the conference scheme, members of the University can apply for funding up to £1500 towards the costs of holding conferences or seminars on Africa.Members of academic staff may be part of an application for conference funding, but OReNGA encourages applications to be submitted by members of the conference team who are not members of academic staff.
