John Lloyd on Silvio Berlusconi rising from the dead (again)
John Lloyd has written an article piece for Reuters (11 December) on Silvio Berlusconi, and the political career that refuses to die.
In talking about the various contenders for leadership in future, John writes that:
Berlusconis political instincts have always been the best. He came into Italian politics almost 20 years ago, and failed within a year. Nobody thought he would be back. Instead, he has dominated the politics of the peninsula ever since.
Never count him out till he stops singing. It seems there is at least one more aria to go.
