Jean-Francois Drolet has just published an article in the peer-reviewed journal International Politics, vol. 46, No.1, January 2009 entitled `The Cryptic Cold War Realism of Leo Strauss`, now available in print and online at
The article sheds light upon recent controversies concerning Leo Strauss`s alleged influence on contemporary American and global politics. It exposes and analyses Strauss`s trenchant critique of liberal modernity and then offers a critical discussion on the nature of his legacy and the reception of his ideas in the United States since the 1950s.
