Erin Fitzgerald to attend 2013 Institute for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research

Date

Erin Fitzgerald, a D.Phil candidate in International Relations attending Oxford on a Rhodes scholarship, received open-pool admittance to the 2013 Institute for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research taking place this June at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.

The Institute, now in its twelfth year, seeks to enable students to create and critique methodologically sophisticated qualitative research designs, including case studies, tests of necessity or sufficiency, and narrative or interpretive work. Open-pool admittance is highly selective, with at least 10 applicants for each spot.

Erin will apply the lessons from the course to her research project, which examines organizational learning and regulation of private military companies in Iraq and Afghanistan.
