Dr Sudhir Hazareesingh receives book award from French Senate

At a ceremony at the Palais du Luxembourg in Paris on 7 June, Sudhir Hazareesingh received an award from the French Senate for his book: Le Mythe Gaullien.

Every year the Senate awards up to three prizes to history bookswhich havehelped stimulate collectivereflection on the principles of good citizenship. The photograph shows Sudhir receiving his award from Jean-Noel Jeanneney, president of thejury.
