Dr Sudhir Hazareesingh gives lecture on Charles de Gaulle as a Memorialist in Lille

Sudhir Hazareesingh gave a talk on 23 marchatthe invitation ofthe Academie de Lille on Charles de Gaulle as a Memorialist. The Academie is an official body which oversees the training of schoolteachers andthe inspection of schools, andis part of the French Ministry of Education. Delivered in the auditorium of the Charles de Gaulle museum in Lille,which co-sponsored the event, Sudhirs lecture was attended byinspectors, teachers, and pupils from local schools. The lecture and ensuing discussion wasorganized in the context of the recent (and not uncontroversial)incorporation of the third volume of Charles de Gaulles War Memoirs into thebaccalaureat curriculum for French literature.
