Dr Steve Tsang was quoted in an article in The Times responding to comments advocating cautious political reforms made by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao at the press conference for Chinas annual parliamentary session this month.
Steve offered his view that: It is about making things better so that people will continue to support the Communist Party or, to put it bluntly, to enhance the survival of the Communist Party regime by taking the wind of the sails of those who advocate democracy.
