Dr Sarmila Bose writes on the womens reservation bill in The Telegraph, India

Sarmila Bose contributed an article to The Telegraph, India, arguing against the women`s reservation bill that was just passed by the Upper House in India, and which is awaiting consideration in the Lower House before becoming law. All media coverage to date has been to say how positive the bill is for women. Sarmila argues that it is against the interests of women and damaging for Indian democracy, and points out the far better options easily available.
