Congratulations to Mark Philp, who has been just awarded a Leverhulme Network Grant for the Re-Imagining Democracy Project.
The project, jointly run by Joanna Innes (History) and Mark has been awarded a grant of 110,000 for the next phase of the project: Reimagining Democracy in the Mediterranean 1750-1860. The grant holder is Joanna Innes in History. The grant will enable the project to establish a collaborative network involving Universities in New York, Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, Pisa and Athens, and will run for three years from the summer of 2012. The first volume of essays from the earlier North Atlantic stage of the project will be published by Oxford University Press in 2013.
