Dr Gwendolyn Sasse writes about how Russian policy has affected the flow of Syrian migrants

Gwendolyn Sasse has written a piece for Carnegie Europe (10 November) entitled 'Is Russia exploiting European disunity over the refugee crisis?'

She writes: "Putin’s Syria policy reinforces the political dynamics that are putting the EU to its biggest-ever test, but even without Russia’s actions, the refugee flows would continue."

This was also quoted in Ryan Heath's blog on the Politico website, which is available here: http://www.politico.eu/newsletter/playbook/politico-brussels-playbook-presented-by-mastercard-new-pms-migration-summit-dear-donald/
